We were walking a path near a Visitor Center at Horicon Marsh & a fellow was stopped on his bike & looking down. We said good morning to him & then he said, I'm just looking at this Garter snake here on the path sunning. Well, anyone who knows me, knows that snakes are not my thing, they rate right up there with spiders for me.
When we looked at the path, we only seen the tip of his tail in the grass. We decided to go along our way looking for birds & about 45 minutes later, we went back on the same path.
My husband was walking ahead, looked down & said, just so you know, that snake is back out sunning himself. I still don't care for snakes, never will but I had to take his photo.
