We've had bluebird nesting boxes in our backyard for the past 15 years. Each year at least three bluebird families are raised by very busy parents. It's a joy to hear their soft, sweet melody and later to hear the "peeps" of their young, eagerly waiting for food from both mom & dad; great insect control for your yard too :)
After the young have left and the nesting boxes are empty, each fall groups of 10 to 12 bluebirds come back to these same nesting boxes, fly all around them, land on the roof, go inside to check things out, take a swim in the birdbath and eat berries off the shrubs.
